Steve Creed- Mandolin and Vocals
Steve started playing mandolin in the late 1970s after being introduced to bluegrass music. His early influences to the music were Bill Monroe, J.D. Crowe, and Doyle Lawson. He started playing guitar when he was 12. He has played with several local bands during the 1990s-until current including The High Countrymen and Clearview. In addition to playing mandolin and guitar, Steve also plays fiddle. He lives in Aberdeen with his wife Beegie and has a son, Justin, and a daughter, Meredith, and three step daughters. He attends Shiloh Presbyterian Church and is active in the choir.
Gregg Davis- Guitar and Vocals
Gregg got interested in bluegrass when he heard Doc Watson playing on the "Will the Circle be Unbroken" album. Already a guitarist playing rock music, he became a convert to the "high lonesome sound". While in college at Appalachian State University, Gregg was a musician with the "Horn in the West". He also played guitar and sang with the local band Deep Creek during the 1990s. He also plays banjo and mandolin and his influences are Doc Watson, Clarence White, and J.D. Crowe. Gregg lives in Whispering Pines with his wife Iris and has three sons: Robb, Thadd, and Lukess. He is active at Eureka Presbyterian Church.
