Johnie Marion-  Bass and Vocals

Johnie started his musical path the early age of 6.  He played clarinet in grammer school and has been playing musical instruments since that time.  During the 1970s while in  high school, he played bass in some local rock bands.  Johnie started playing bluegrass during the late 1980s, both secular and gospel bands including The Carpenter's Tools and Piney Ridge.  His musical influences are many and include Hank Williams, The Eagles, and Flatt and Scruggs.  In addition to playing bass, he plays guitar and mandolin.  Johnie is married to Connie and they have three children:  Phillip, Caleb, and Emily.  He attends Culdee Presbyterian Church and sings in the choir.




Huey Priest-  Banjo, Guitar and Vocals

Huey began playing guitar and banjo at the age of fifteen.  His early musical influences were Chet Atkins, Earl Scruggs, and Bill Keith among others.  He started playing with local bands before finishing high school  Some of the bands he has played with include Tarheel Bluegrass, Deep Creek, and Clearview. He is well known throughout the region for his musical ability on both the banjo and guitar and has won numerous contests.  Huey has been married to his wife Cindy for 35 years and they have two children, Jill and Josh.  He attends Fairview Baptist church in Carthage.
